The two questions that I am most often asked are:
How many people come to River & Wren? and
How much money do stall holders make at a River & Wren Market?
The first question I can’t answer with an exact number.
I feel incredibly privileged to organise a market.
River & Wren is a handmade, homemade and homegrown market and its popularity with not just our local community, but the wider region, has shown that the community not only appreciates, but supports, our local creative industry.

A Day Trip to the Beautiful Bright Markets
3 March 2017
On a recent day trip to Bright in north east Victoria I found the beautiful Bright Markets on the banks of the Ovens River.
Having decided to run a beautiful handmade country market, I realised that the very first thing I needed to do was choose an amazing market name. A name that would represent the handmade and country nature of the market. And a name that would become recognisable and synonymous with our town and region.
Organising market tours has been a dream of mine for a long time now. And here I am in a blogging workshop with the inspirational Simone Eyles from Working Spaces HQ and she’s telling me to stop procrastinating and start doing.
So it’s now time to start planning my market tours.
